Dale Borough, PA – April 8, 2025 On Sunday, April 6th, members of the Dale Borough Fire Company traveled to PNC Park in Pittsburgh, PA, to participate in a special ceremony hosted by Defib Manatee in partnership with the Pittsburgh Pirates. During the pre-game event, the Fire Company was honored to receive the 215th donated Automated External Defibrillator (AED) — a crucial life-saving device that will enhance the department’s emergency response capabilities, as well as the safety of our first responders. The AED was personally presented by Ernie Withers of Defib Manatee, an organization dedicated to placing defibrillators in the hands of first responders and public servants across the country. The presentation took place on the field just before the start of the Pirates’ Sunday home game.“We are deeply honored to receive the 215th donated AED,” said River Dorn, Fire Chief of Dale Borough Fire Company. “This generous donation from Ernie Withers, Defib Manatee, and the Pittsburgh Pirates strengthens our ability to respond to emergencies and ensures the safety of both our responders and community members. We are incredibly grateful for their support and a special thank you to Firefighter Joe Klucker for reaching out to Defib Manatee.”As a 100% volunteer department, the Dale Borough Fire Company is committed to continuously improving its ability to serve the community. The addition of this AED is a significant step forward in strengthening the department’s response capabilities. For more information about Defib Manatee’s mission and ongoing AED donation efforts, visit defibmanatee.orgDefibrillate Manatee FoundationPittsburgh PiratesErnie Withers#AEDsSaveLives #DaleBoroughFire #CommunitySafety ...
